Eldorado

ELDORADO - Originally known as Tan Yard. When the Uwharrie Mountains area was a haven for gold prospectors in the 1800s, the Eldorado area was a key center for activity.  Tan Yard as a result was renamed to Eldorado after the mythical South American king.
