Goldston

The former railroad depot for Goldston has since been moved to the New Hope Valley Railway in Bonsal where it has since been restored.

GOLDSTON - A Chatham County town located along old US 421.  Named for Joseph Goldston, it was his land that the town developed.  The town was settled around 1885 and incorporated in 1907.

Within the small downtown is Rufus' Restaurant - this small town greasy spoon continues to serve customers their famous Rufus Burgers, pimento cheeseburger, and ribeye steak sandwiches today!
