Stedman Soda Shop

The Stedman Soda Shop is a great example of a small town restaurant found throughout North Carolina.  Good affordable food and it's where the local's hang out.  These photos are from 2008 - but the Stedman Soda Shop is still up and running today.  The shop was reopened in August 2015 and has been a hit with locals and out of town visitors ever since!

The town of Stedman is a growing community of nearly 1400 people.  It was named after Charles M. Stedman who served as President of the North Carolina Railroad and was the last Confederate veteran to serve in Congress.  Stedman was incorporated in 1913.  Earlier, a community called Blockers or Blockersville was located nearby.
