Old Hardin Road Bridge - Revisited

In August 2007, I checked out the Old Hardin Road Bridge in Gaston County.  Well fast forward nine years, and friend of the blog, Chris Curley, went back to the bridge and sent along some photos.  His photos were taken after the leaves had fallen and are an excellent contrast to the more lush surroundings of late summer.

The approach to the bridge now is an overgrown footpath.

The bare trees shows the twisted remains of the approaching spans.

Chris was able to get down to the riverbank to get a closer look at the collapsed remains.
